Chandra is a widely respectable lawyer in the profession. He practises with professionalism and idealism, with care and control for his clients, in all the areas that he practises in. Chandra is recognised for his virtues and was awarded the C C Tan Award in 2016 (see speech in the following link). Chandra is also dedicated in serving the community. He has set up a scholarship named the Chandra Mohan K Nair Scholarship with the National University of Singapore to support the future generation of the legal profession (see interview in the following link).
Chandra has interests in many areas of the law and thus practises in most if not all areas of practice. The more common areas that Chandra practises in are civil and criminal litigation, arbitration, mediation, family and matrimonial, probate, employment and commercial related matters.

- Public Prosecutor v Mohammad Haikal bin Abdullah [2017] SGDC 25 – Acted for the accused in a criminal case of laundering stolen money as reported by The Straits Times on 18 October 2016 titled Widower jailed 33 months for laundering over $500k – Link
- Dovechem Holdings Pte Ltd(in liquidation) and others v Ng Joo Soon (alias Nga Ju Soon) [2011] 4 SLR 345; [2011] SGCA 3 – Acted for Dovechem Holdings Pte Ltd, some of its directors and the respondent’s family in a Court of Appeal case involving directorship of companies
- O’Laughlin Industries Co Ltd and another v Tan Thiam Hock and others [2021] SGHC 35 – Acted for the first to sixth defendants in a High Court case involving conspiracy claims
- O’Laughlin Industries Co Ltd and another v Tan Thiam Hock and others [2020] SGHCR 6 – Acted for first to fifth defendants in a HIgh Court case involving a garnishee order
- The Law Society of Singapore v Sham Chee Keat [2018] SGDT 5 – Acted for the respondent in a disciplinary tribunal suit
